Just What is The Physical for the Christian Soul?
Written by David Zook

Many of us have had physicals for our bodies, but how about for our souls? We know the condition of our bodies following a physical, but do we know the current condition of our souls?

Specifically, what is the condition of our hearts? Are our minds being renewed by God’s Word? Do our actions match our convictions? Are we growing in character?

This blog will help you answer these questions. It is a comprehensive physical that helps you diagnose the health of your soul.

During a physical the doctor asks you a series of questions to help determine the state of your body. This physical is no different. By asking you to respond to a variety of statements it helps assess:

Your knowledge about:

God
The Gospel
Theology

Your motives regarding:

Relationships
Worship
The Spiritual Disciplines
Discipleship

Your experience with:

Family
Character
Evangelism
Social Justice
Suffering

The objective of this physical is for you to intentionally assess your walk with Christ, so your life becomes more Christ-like and less world-like; thus bringing glory to God and edifying you.

New posts will be added three times a week - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - to help you examine 12 different aspects of your walk with the Lord. Each post will have new content and fresh perspectives.

Click on any of the tabs above to explore any of the articles in the twelve categories.

Please subscribe to the RSS feeder (it’s free) or add your email to the email update section, both found in the left column, if you want the lastest posting when it is published.

This is a great approach to assessing the spiritual condition of the body of Christ. We need to be more concerned with what is in our minds so that we will know that everything we are doing is for the glory of the Most High God and not at all about us.
Thank you for sharing and for helping the body of Christ to grow in awareness.
