Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog. I am a husband and dad who likes to hang out with our boys, run, climb mountains, run trails, read, play golf, and watch college football.
I came into full time ministry just a few short years ago after spending the better part of 14 years in the corporate world. The last five of those years as an executive recruiter specializing in the life and health insurance industry.
Currently, I serve as Pastor of Morningside Evangelical Presbyterian Church in the Biltmore/Arcadia area in Phoenix, AZ.
I graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2004 and with a Bachelor’s in International Trade from Texas Tech University in 1990. Go Tech!
While at TEDS one my professors asked the class a question that sticks with me to this day: what does the church produce? Organizations produce stuff whether it is cars, air conditioners, accounting services, etc. The Bible tells us to produce disciples (Matt. 28:19-20) But what does that look like? Can you describe it?
This Physical for the Christian Soul is an outgrowth of trying to answer that question. It helps assess if we are the right track or not.
I must mention a church got this thing really going. Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, IL. gave me the time, encouragment, and direction to come up with the foundation for this instrument. They were looking to develop an instrument to help their people in their walk with the Lord. A big thank you goes out to Dave Learned, Bing Hunter, Dave Jones, Joe Johnson and the rest of the Adult Education group there who encouraged, sharpened and inspired me during my internship there.
May this Physical be a blessing to you.
